Emily Edmunds, the new Sustainability Campaign Educator (also known as an energy advisor) for Cornell Cooperative Extension in Cattaraugus County as well as Allegany and Chautauqua county will be in-library to answer questions. She works with people to help them become more sustainable, reduce their energy costs, and improve their home to be more energy efficient which in turn improves their health, comfort, and safety. She works with contractors, PUSH green, and other partners to help residents find the right programs to help weatherize and insulate their homes, install different heating and cooling equipment, save on energy costs, or talk about rooftop and community solar. The program helps residents of low to moderate income, disadvantaged communities, and small minority and women owned businesses find out information of the services offered and what finances can help improve their household.
