Adult and Teen Summer Reading 2010

  • Read or listen to at least one book or audio book of your choice between June 21st and August 6th.
  • Record the title and author of each book. Write a review and answer the questions about your book choice.
  • Return your completed book log to the library by August 6th. Be sure to write your name on your book log.
  • All participants' reviews will be published anonymously in a booklet and given to all participants at the end of the program.
  • All participants that complete the program will be invited to the end of summer party and receive a prize!

Sign up in the library or online. Pick up your log book at the library, print it out (booklog.pdf), or maintain your log online.

Brown Bag Book Club

Monthly Book Sale

August 6 - 12

Featuring library discards and donated books. Prices start at 50¢ for paperbacks. Sales also include video, audio and magazines when available. Proceeds from the sale go to the Friends of the Library of Olean, NY, Inc. Book Endowment fund.

Olean Food Pantry Drop-Off Site

The Olean Public Library is a convenient drop-off site for the Olean Food Pantry. Bring canned goods and other non-perishable food items to the library for pick-up by the Olean Food Pantry.

The Olean Food Pantry is located north of the Cattaraugus County Bldg., next to Bethany Lutheran Church on Leo Moss Dr. in Olean. Call them at (716) 372-4989.
