Driving Directions
Olean is located near the Pennsylvania border in the Southern Tier of New York State. Driving times between Olean and Buffalo: 1½ hours -- Rochester: 2 hours -- Corning: 1½ hours -- Jamestown: 45 minutes.
Coming from Buffalo:
Via 219 - get on 219 South, follow to Springville; take Springville Exit; continue on 219 to Salamanca; follow signs to I 86 East (formerly Southern Tier Expressway - 17) continue East to 2nd Olean Exit (26, business district); turn right at end of exit ramp and enter city; continue to the 6th stop light; turn right (at Community Bank) onto Laurens Street; go two more blocks. The Library is on the left. Can turn left on first street (one block) and park for free in City Lot #9.
Via 16 - get on 400 to 16 North; stay on 16 into Olean; continue on 16 (North Union) 6 stop lights; turn right (at Community Bank) onto Laurens Street; go two more blocks. The Library is on the left. Can turn left on first street (one block) and park for free in City Lot #9.
Coming from Rochester:
Can either go to Buffalo and follow either directions above or take I 390 South to I 86 (former Southern Tier Expressway - 17); head West to first Olean Exit (26, business district); turn right at end of exit ramp and enter city; continue to the 6th stop light; turn right (at Community Bank) onto Laurens Street; go two more blocks.
