Common Sense Parenting Support Group at the Olean Public Library

Common Sense Parenting Solutions (CSPS), is a skill-based program designed to help parents manage behaviors and promote positive development in their children.

This program addresses the needs of children of all ages and includes strategies to deal with all aspects of their lives.

Welcome

Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month in the Meeting Room of the library. A light family supper is offered at 5:00 PM followed by the Parents' Meeting.

Supervised activities and homework assistance for children of participants will be provided.

Purpose

The purpose of the support group is to offer graduates of the CSPS seven-week course the opportunity to share their experiences using the techniques discussed in class and continue to improve their parenting skills though shared experiences.

Parents unfamiliar with CSPS who would like to meet other parents and discuss parenting strategies in a welcoming environment are invited to attend.

Information on the CSPS classes will be available at all meetings.
