The list is ordered 1,2,3 with individual titles preceding series titles. Level 1 indicates beginning chapter books averaging 60 to 70 pages with illustrations and larger print. Level 2 refers to books with over 100 pages and few illustrations. Level 3 titles generally have smaller type, are over 100 pages, have little or no illustrations and have more advanced subject matter. All suggested titles are appropriate for elementary students.
